SO! I have some exciting news for ya'll! Today is the start of 9 Weeks of Bloggers! Basically what this is, is a series of blog collab's with other amazingly talented bloggers! Every Friday there will be a "9 Weeks of Bloggers" collab up! With a total of 9, we will end at the end of February! Don't worry, I'll still reguarly post other blogs, but I am work on some super fun things for you guys! This is a fun way to kick off the new year and help ya'll meet other bloggers like myself! So without further a do, let's get into our first collab!
For this collab, I worked with my dear friend Samantha (@theofficialprep) who you've probably heard about before! We're bringing to you an outfit of the day specifically focusing on any short sleeve dresses you might have! We also decided to choose some bright patterns for you just so that you can see how easy it is to over-come wearing seasonal pieces throughout the entire year, year-round!
I chose to style my Lilly Pulitzer Fryer Shift in Limeade for two different seasons! Winter and Summer. For wearing it during the summer, I decided to keep it classy and simple. I just slipped on my gold Jack Roger heels and a monogrammed acrylic necklace and I'm done! Simple and easy. But if you don't want to be so revealing, you can just add a light cardigan over the dress and you should be good to go! Also, if you want to to add some accessories, you can try simple pearl earrings or a side purse or wristlet! Try to keep it as simple as can be though. Printed dresses during the summer are perfect for doing all the talking themselves.
Dress: Lilly Pulitzer
Shoes: Jack Rogers
Monogrammed Necklace: Dazzle Up Boutique
Winter can be a little harder to wear bright colored summer dresses, but don't worry. I've got your back! All you have to do for this is find some flats, tall boots, or rain-boots that match your dress and you're 1/2 way there! Then all you need is a cardigan or sweater to pair it up with! Try to stay away from dark colors like black and mud-brown. Those can be hard to find matching cardigans and sweaters for! I'm broad shouldered and sweaters don't help with that, so I added a plain creme and white bubble necklace to attract the eye inwards making my upper half appear less wide. I also added my side purse but made sure to keep the accessorizing to a minimum so that we don't take away from this beautiful print.
Dress: Lilly Pulitzer
Sweater: Wet Seal
Shoes: Steve Madden
Necklace: Target
This is a pretty simple and easy tip, but try to keep summer colors bright, vibrant, and eye-catching, and winter colors more neutral! And always remember that what ever pieces you decide to wear, you'll look beautiful and stunning in! Samantha also styled her dress over at her blog! Go check it out and also catch up with her social media below! That's it for this weeks collab, but I'll see you soon for some more blog fun!
